Description

Time to race...no wires attached. The acclaimed Mario Kart series has gone wireless, letting players race and battle with up to eight karts at once, regardless of whether everyone has a game card. An all-star cast that includes Mario, Luigi, Peach, Yoshi, Donkey Kong, Wario, Bowser and Toad will round out a truly all-star lineup of more than 30 courses drawn from every Mario Kart game. That's right – players will tour courses from Super Mario Kart, Mario Kart 64, Mario Kart: Super Circuit and Mario Kart: Double Dash!! , not to mention brand-new tracks and arenas. With all the crazy items and frantic speed players have come to expect, this game is a Mario Kart fan's dream. The game has a new dimension of fun, since players can battle others around the world by connecting to Nintendo's new wireless gaming service, Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection, via Wi-Fi.

"Looks a bit like a port of original Mario Kart games (has both new and old school tracks) and plays pretty much the same too. You don't use the touchscreen (maybe for map toggling) but just the buttons to race.

This is fun in single player but also alot of fun over multiplayer. I've played Mario Kart DS on-line which is pretty cool but also against friends (Wireless connect). Mario Kart has always been a good multiplayer game and that counts for this game as well.

The battlefield option is one of the coolest thing (always has been) of Mario Kart DS. You have to 'kill' eachother in a field of your choosing in order to win. You pick up different power-ups to shoot away or protect yourself. Get hit 3 times and you lose. Also there is a mode called 'Shine Runner' in which you have to pick up Shines that appear on the field. The player with the most Shines wins. You can shoot other players to steal their Shines :).

Last mode I'd like to say something about is 'Mission Run' where they've set various mission goals you have to complete in order to advance in the game. There are even endbosses :).

Alot of stuff to do here, so be sure to own this one for your DS."
