Plot: Hiroim continually manipulates his battle with Korg closer and closer to innocent people, striving to get Korg to kill him and save them all. He eventually falls, but not until after Dr. Waynesboro realizes that she'd miscalculated the effects of the dome, and that the nature of the radiation not only mutated people, but also kept them alive. Fortunately this realization comes in time for Hiroim to pull himself together. They are about to refocus on the Leader, when S.H.I.E.L.D. robots demand their attention.

In the backup story, Miek reveals the history of No-Name of the Brood.

Horde

Plot: The Warbound fend off Horde, and manage to allow several more humans to escape before an overzealous general attacks them from outside the dome. The attack breaks Hiroim's concentration, and the tunnel seals itself around several hundred innocent people. Hiroim now realizes that his powers were boosted by the Leader's machines, and he's powerful enough to feel the humans within. Knowing he can't get them out before the dome permanently harms them, he decides to take down the dome instead. He and Korg stay behind to take out the generators, while the others create a distraction. When they are alone, Hiroim admits that there is no generator, and that the dome is feeding off him directly. He asks Korg to kill him to save all of their lives.

The backup story features Miek revealing Korg's past.

Horde

Plot: The Warbound form a shaky alliance with the soldiers trapped inside the gammaworld dome in order to help defend the innocents inside against the gamma mutated insects now attacking. Hiroim taps his power into the gammworld dome itself in order to open a tunnel out, as anyone who makes contact with the dome dies a somewhat unpleasant death. Before everyone can get out, a new threat appears, which looks to be a green skinned amalgamation of several different people.

The flashback backup story in this issue involves Miek revealing Hiroim's history to Dr. Waynesboro.

Plot: Dr. Kate Waynesboro, under the direction of Dum Dum Dugan and using information gleaned from Miek, leads a team trying to hunt down the last of the Warbound. She tracks them down, determined to capture them without harming them, but is instead drawn through a teleporter to parts unknown. It seems that Hiroim was captured to power a device which has produced a massive force field around a large area. They help break Hiroim out, but the generators are still running. The villain behind this plot reveals himself to be none other than Sam Sterns, better known as the Leader.

The backup story in this issue is the history of Elloe, as told by Miek.
