Plot: In a flashback Wolvie remembers a battlefield in WWII where he felt at home in the dirty business of war. Coming forward to today, agents of a terrorist group known as the Scimitar have a plot to assainate Tony Stark aboard the SHIELD Hellicarrier. Wolverine and the Atlantean Amir race to try to save the day to find it to only be a trap for them to spring. Amir is killed in the confrontation, and an enraged Wolverine is just sloppy and feral enough to play into the agent's hands. The agent focre feeds Logan a tasty meal of a bomb, and detonates it, bringing the whole airship crashing down. Stark and Commander Hill Find a well healed Wolverine at the epicenter of the crash, but cannot explain why the tough as nails mutant is seemingly braindead.

Plot: Wendell was hired to do a simple job: Shoot a machine gun at a man in the pit. The man in the pit? Wolverine! Since he can't reach Wendell to fight back, Wolverine talks to him and plays on the depressing events of Wendell's life to make him contemplate ending it all. When Wendell breaks and lets the man he's sure will kill him out of the pit, Wolverine does just the opposite, throwing him in the pit and promising him no harm while he goes to claw out a bloody escape through everyone else. In the epilogue, We learn that Wild Child, and presumably Romulus, speaking from the shadows, admire a wall full of Polariods snapped during Logan's time in the pit, suggesting their responsiblity in the torture.

Plot: Having left Nitro in Atlantis, Wolverine begins to carry out a one-man war against Damage Control, a company that cleans up the mess after superhuman battles. With Forge's help, Wolverine learns that the company has been quietly escalating the scale and frequency of these clashes in order to boost their own profits. In fact, the CEO of the company supplied Nitro with the MGH he used to devestate Stamford, CT... and Damage Control has the contract to clean it up.While Wolverine is the best at what he does, he's more accustomed to fighting a physical opponent. How will he oppose a corporation?

Plot: Namor, ruler of Atlantis has come to the surface world to bring justice to Nitro for the death of his cousin, Namorita. After knocking Wolverine out, he takes Nitro and heads to New Pangaea, a nearby undersea city. With Iron Man's unwilling help, Wolverine follows. Though Nitro deserves the tortures awaiting him at Namor's hand, someone supplied him with Mutant Growth Hormone, which made Stamford even worse. If Wolverine is going to truly bring the culprits of the disaster in Stamford to justice, he needs to know who.

Plot: Wolverine has tracked down Nitro, and notices one element of his powers that's been overlooked in the past. Before he can find out who the supplier is, Janus and his two pals arrive to take Nitro into custody.
