Plot: Ivy Raven has broken off her pursuit, but HeNRI is still trying to figure out how to deal with Julie and the Beta Suit. One of their researchers, Hong Liu, has discovered that by bombarding the suit with protons, it will very briefly become dark matter before being rendered inert, as a viscous liquid. Of course, the process is fatal to the person the suit is grafted to.

Never suspecting that her home is under surveillance by HeNRI, Julie and Dillon have come back to plan their next move. And HeNRI's forces will be there in fifteen minutes.

Plot: Shocked by the display of power Julie's fragment of the Beta Suit in attacking The Omega, and Julie's inability to control the power inside her, Dillon is ready to leave. The only thing that stops him short is that Julie says something to him that Annie used to say, and calls him by the pet-name that only Annie ever used.

In attempting to learn how she knew that, the suit shocks him in response. Just as the Omega catches up to them again.

Plot: Frustrated by the fact that she knows so little about the Beta Suit, Ivy Raven returns to HeNRI to fill in the blanks. Confronting Professor Foster she learns that the suit is a massive power source that generates energy from the electricity firing in the synapses of the human brain.

Armed with a better explanation of what she's dealing with, Ivy calls to speak to Julie again. She tries to persuade Julie to come in, but her case isn't helped when she reveals that she's with Julie's sister Pam. But before Julie can come to any kind of decision, Dillon sees a figure coming up the road. The Omega has caught up to them.
