Finding out from McKinnon that his ex-girlfriend is a doctor in town, Dunn goes to speak with her and discovers he has a nineteen year old daughter who refuses to speak with him. As Dunn returns to the inn, he is confronted by a maimed sodbuster who has walked into town despite his injuries; together, Dunn and McKinnon recognise the handiwork of a half-breed named Red Crow.
