Plot: Vril Dox II has managed to hold his rag-tag group together through the Starro invasion. But he needs to divine a plan to defeat Starro, and throw him back through the rift that carried him to this universe. But Starro's forces aren't waiting. Kanjar Ro, tyrant of Dhor, attempted to enlist Dox's aid but was rebuffed byt he Fleet Commander, last known Dominator. But Dox does send a rather unexpected rescue.

Plot: As part of his strategy to deal with the threat that Starro poses to the Universe, Vril Dox has ordered his L.E.G.I.O.N. sentries to construct an impenetrable force field surrounding Starro's forces. But while the field will keep Starro and his legions contained to the few worlds trapped inside, Dox is also stuck on the inside. But the dominant species of Gil'Dishpan, a race of aquatic worms living in a methane-laden ocean, have control of creatures that can innately warp space, teleporting free of the force field. Dox and Starro race to enlist the Gil'Dishpan to their cause.

Plot: Ciji, the captain of a Durlan Cruiser is preparing to make Vril Dox an offer of help, until the pair are attacked by Astrild Storm-Daughter. As on of Starro's Heralds, she's granted greater autonomy than it's other slaves. She reveals that she's the one who co-opted L.E.G.I.O.N. and that her master has an offer for Dox.
If he surrenders, and serves Starro willingly, he will be able to keep a measure of his identity as she does. If not, she will find him and see him enslaved as she plans for everyone in the galaxy.

Plot: Vril Dox has gathered a team that, according to his descendant Brainiac 5's information, should allow him to re-take L.E.G.I.O.N. from whoever's usurped it. What he doesn't know is that the fall of his organization was the first move in a galactic invasion by Starro, and his race.
The Omega Men are prisoners on Maltus, held by Starro. Their attempt to escape ends in a desperate stand-off. A rescue by the Psions of Maltus, however, reveals that the invasion has begun in the Xylon Expanse.

To that end, he provides Vril with all the information he has on the Legion of Super-Heroes to assist him in forming his own team.
But Brainiac 2's choices are not quite what his descendant would expect.

Plot: Vril Dox II is the super-intelligence in charge of L.E.G.I.O.N., an inter-galactic police force. Or, at least, he was. Now he's on the run, a fugitive from the organization he built with a trail of bounty hunters at his heels. Traveling to Earth, he desperately tries to reach Supergirl. The mysterious warning he received before L.E.G.I.O.N. turned on him gave him specific instructions, including finding her.
But even if the bounty hunters chasing him can't locate his thought patterns, they can still track Kara.
