Plot: Sensing a threat, Obsidian has locked down JSA Headquarters. Everyone but Green Lantern, Wildcat, Flash and Liberty Belle was forced out, and he isn't letting anyone past a shield of blackness. But his failure to communicate with his teammates leaves them concerned as to his motivations.

But everyone's so distracted by Obsidian's behavior that they fail to notice when a ghost takes possession of Stargirl, and uses her to force Obsidian back and gain access to the building. A ghost from the Justice Society's past has returned to avenge itself on the heroes for failing to stop the atomic bomb from being used on Japan.

Plot: Transported by a wormhole created by Starman, the Superman from Earth-22 (Kingdom Come) finds himself in a world very different from the one he left. People look into the sky at super-humans with awe and wonder... not the terror that they had come to elicit in his own world. The Justice League has verified that that he is, in fact, Superman... but now that he's here, what will Kal-El do?Will he attempt to return home, or perhaps stay to help inspire the next generation, mindful of the fate that befell his own Earth?

Plot: Having arrived on Earth through a black hole, the Justice Society have taken the Earth-22 Superman to their headquarters where they try to find out who he is. Starman claims to know him from his time on Earth-22 though the others are skeptical. Eventually they leave him on his own but unknown to them, Obsidian remains in the room and speaks with Superman. Dr Mid-Nite and Mr. Terrific, meanwhile, investigate the building where Goth was killed and Superman arrived but as Mid-Nite coughs up black smoke, they both miss the letters GO written on a beam. Speaking with Obsidian, Superman abruptly ends the conversation, breaks out of the room and retrieves his uniform. The Justice Society attempt to stop him leaving but are unable to do so. Following him, though, they find he had only broken free in order to save a young girl who was committing suicide. After the rescue was captured by the media, Batman watches and holds the kryptonite ring given him by Superman; the two Flashes plan to travel across the multiverse to Earth-22; Power Girl leaves and sits before the grave of her cousin from Earth-Two; the Justice League arrive to meet with Superman; and Chroma is killed by someone who calls himself a god.

Mid-Nite tells him that he is not the only survivor from the Fourth Reich's attack in issue #3 but, due to the effect of Reichsmark's liquid/metallic blood that Heywood was covered in, he cannot see them due to his immense strength and lack of control.Starman is visited at his asylum by Superman who wants to talk about the recent adventure with the Legion. At the JSA headquarters, Heywood is covered in a metallic alloy that will force him to exert his huge strength to bend it, thus effectively cutting his strength in half and allowing him some control.
