In the Hall of Justice, the League review what happened when their teams were attacked previously (as shown in the Justice League Wedding Special) and decide to split into two teams to investigate with Black Lightning co-ordinating from the Hall. Green Lantern, Red Tornado and Hawkgirl are ambushed by Killer Frost, Shadow Thief, Poison Ivy and Fatality and are defeated. Superman, Vixen and Black Canary are attacked by Dr. Light, Gorilla Grodd, Cheetah and Parasite and are on the brink of being defeated when Black Lightning arrives and forces the villains to retreat by teleportation, taking with them Canary and Vixen. As Superman and Black Lightning wonder what to do, Lex Luthor arrives.

Plot: The Legionnaires briefly lose the Justice League and Society and position themselves in various places across the world. The JLA and JSA, however, are quick to track them down and try to persuade them from continuing their plan to sacrifice one of their lives to bring back someone they assume to be Lightning Lad.Batman and Green Lanter, in separate locations, realise they have visited them before - for Batman it was during the Crisis On Infinite Earths when Barry Allen (Flash II) appeared before him as a vision; for Green Lantern, it was the lab where Barry received his powers.Despite the heroes' best efforts, the Legionnaires call down the lightning and, to the surprise of many, bring back Wally West (Flash III) along with his wife Linda and their now teenage children who had all been missing since Infinite Crisis.The Legionnaire's teleport back to Superman's Fortress and use portals to return to their home. Plot: The Legionnaires briefly lose the Justice League and Society and position themselves in various places across the world. The JLA and JSA, however, are quick to track them down and try to persuade them from continuing their plan to sacrifice one of their lives to bring back someone they assume to be Lightning Lad.Batman and Green Lanter, in separate locations, realise they have visited them before - for Batman it was during the Crisis On Infinite Earths when Barry Allen (Flash II) appeared before him as a vision; for Green Lantern, it was the lab where Barry received his powers.Despite the heroes' best efforts, the Legionnaires call down the lightning and, to the surprise of many, bring back Wally West (Flash III) along with his wife Linda and their now teenage children who had all been missing since Infinite Crisis.The Legionnaire's teleport back to Superman's Fortress and use portals to return to their home. At the same time, the gorilla's celebrate the birth of a white haired gorilla. When Timberwolf is confronted, he remembers who he is.On Thanagar, Power Girl advises Red Arrow against flirting with Hawgirl and reveals that she has had a fling with Hawkman; with this knowledge, she tries to tell Arrow that the Hawks will always end up together and no-one else will get in their way.In the future, the body of Dolores Winters, minus her brain, is observed by Per Degaton, the Ultra-Humanite (in his white haired gorilla body) and Despero.On Thanagar, the team find the woman holding Dawnstar's flight ring but it is not the lost Legion member. She has travelled to Earth already and, as the other members of the Legion remember their mission to return Lightning Lad, Dawnstar joins them.

Plot: As members of the Justice League and Society train in the new Hall of Justice, the newly reawakened Karate Kid, still believing himself to be the villain Trident, attacks Batman and Black Lightning.During the training exercise at the Hall, Red Tornado over-reacts and very nearly causes injury to, if not the death of Red Arrow.Black Lightning and Batman overcome Karate Kid and take him to the Hall where he is questioned; when Mr Terrific mentions Starman also claiming to be from the future, Karate Kid begins to realise who he is.In 1948, Dolores Winters - soon to become the host for the Ultra-Humanite - is visited by two mysterious figures from the future.In the present, Starman is brought to the Hall and greets Karate Kid which removes the remainder of his mind block allowing him to tell the League and the Society that there are seven Legionnaires stuck in the present, including himself and Starman.The League and Society gather in total and decide to find the remaining Legionnaires. Tracing the signal from the Legion's flight rings, they find the locations of the others and decide to split up.
