Meanwhile, when Red Arrow and Hawkgirl try to stop a bank robbery by the Human Flame, Libra intervenes, and starts to introduce the Human Flame to the new order of things.

Superman, Vixen and Black Canary are attacked by Dr. Light, Gorilla Grodd, Cheetah and Parasite and are on the brink of being defeated when Black Lightning arrives and forces the villains to retreat by teleportation, taking with them Canary and Vixen. The JLA and JSA, however, are quick to track them down and try to persuade them from continuing their plan to sacrifice one of their lives to bring back someone they assume to be Lightning Lad.Batman and Green Lanter, in separate locations, realise they have visited them before - for Batman it was during the Crisis On Infinite Earths when Barry Allen (Flash II) appeared before him as a vision; for Green Lantern, it was the lab where Barry received his powers.Despite the heroes' best efforts, the Legionnaires call down the lightning and, to the surprise of many, bring back Wally West (Flash III) along with his wife Linda and their now teenage children who had all been missing since Infinite Crisis.The Legionnaire's teleport back to Superman's Fortress and use portals to return to their home. Before Karate Kid enters, however, he hands one of them his lightning rod and is then warned not to enter the portal by a shadowed figure.The League and Society greet Wally while in the future, possibly in another universe, Brainiac is given Karate Kid's lightning rod that appears to hold someone's spirit.

Plot: The Justice League and the members of the Legion of Super-Heroes discuss what has happened and how they may have ended up in the 21st century.Members of the League and Society travel to Gorilla City where they find another Legion member, Timberwolf. At the same time, the gorilla's celebrate the birth of a white haired gorilla. When Timberwolf is confronted, he remembers who he is.On Thanagar, Power Girl advises Red Arrow against flirting with Hawgirl and reveals that she has had a fling with Hawkman; with this knowledge, she tries to tell Arrow that the Hawks will always end up together and no-one else will get in their way.In the future, the body of Dolores Winters, minus her brain, is observed by Per Degaton, the Ultra-Humanite (in his white haired gorilla body) and Despero.On Thanagar, the team find the woman holding Dawnstar's flight ring but it is not the lost Legion member. She has travelled to Earth already and, as the other members of the Legion remember their mission to return Lightning Lad, Dawnstar joins them.

Plot: As the rest of the League attempts to tackle an Amazo built in the robot body that once belonged to Red Tornado, the Tornado now in his human form is left to stand alone against Solomon Grundy. Alternative Plot: As Amazo attacks the Justice League, Red Tornado faces of against Solomon Grundy. The League work together to bring Amazo down, attacking him in concert but he still manages to pose a threat to them and almost defeats them until Vixen arrives having flown through the sky, tracking her totem. She dives from several hundred feet with the power of a triceratops and crashes into Amazo, breaking him in half, allowing the rest of the League to finish him off.Red Tornado is brutally beaten by Grundy to the extent of having an arm torn off but rallies, using his wind powers to force Grundy to dig in so that he cannot be moved. Increasing the power of the tornado, Grundy is torn in half.The League reach Tornado's body and, with the aid of Zatanna, manage to get his spirit from the crushed human body back into his android self.

Plot: As Bruce, Clark and Diana meet in the cave to determine who should be part of the new Justice League, many heores are following different leads. Arsenal, Black Canary and Hal Jordan have tracked Professor Ivo to a remote cabin, where they're confronted by an army of duplicates of Red Tornado's body. Black Lightning has learned that supervillains were paying the Parasite to temporarily drain their powers so that they could get past scanners, but he's faced by Trident and Dr. Impossible who seek to take the Parasite somewhere.
