Needing a weapon, Jordan uses the nearby Qwardian power rings. On Oa, the Guardians banish Ganthet and Sayd, claiming that they have fallen prey to emotion.Back on Qward, the Lost Lanterns find Ion being tortured by the Anti-Monitor. Before they can attack, Ke'haan is killed by the Anti-Monitor, enraging Hannu into attacking him and temporarily forcing him back. As Amon Sur arrives, he encounters Jordan and his comrades. Their battle is quickly joined by Sinestro and Parallax and while Jordan may have the strength to spark the yellow Qwardian rings, Sinestro shows him that he has no idea how to control them. The Lanterns are attacked by Sinestro and Parallax but are interrupted by the arrival of the surviving Lost Lanterns and Ion who, in turn, are pursued by the Anti-Monitor. The Lanterns escape and split up, returning to the positive matter universe with the Lost Lanterns and Ion heading for Oa while Jordan, Gardner and Stewart head to Earth.Sinestro sends Parallax on ahead as the Qwardians begin mobilising and the Guardians prepare to defend Oa. The first measure to defend them is to enable lethal force for the Green Lanterns against the Sinestro Corps. However, the Lantern Corps are gathered in the wrong place as Jordan and the others realise when thousands of Sinestro Corps members appear above Earth.

Plot: Lead by Hank Henshaw, the Manhunter robots have gathered Green Lanters that the Corps thought were dead, and are using them (and their power rings) to power a whole new evolution of robots. Hal Jordan has freed most of them, but when they last met, he was under the control of Parallax and had tried to kill them. So Hal finds himself trying to avoid the attacks of his fellow Lanters, as well as those of Hank Henshaw and the Manhunters as he tries to atone for his actions as Parallax.
