Plot: "The Book of Endings" - The Book of Oa contains many stories, including those that cover how certain things end.

"Close Encounters" - Dask N'oir escaped Oan confinement and fled to Earth with advanced weapons during World War II. Though the Golden Age Flash and Green Lantern tried to stop him, it came down to Abin Sur to save the day.

"Bad Intentions" - The Guardians have found another Green Lantern to be abusing his power as Sinestro once did. They respond more quickly this time.

"Yella Belly!" - Lobo is hired to collect a person of interest from Garnet. Doing so means heading into the territory of Jack T. Chance, and it's not an encounter that is completely satisfactory for either of them.

Plot: "Horrors: 1" - This quickly recaps the history of the Starheart, and details how Alan Scott became a Green Lantern with no relationship to the Corps.

"Horrors: 2" - Alan still isn't sure why he's suddenly young, but his visitor tells him it may have something to do with recent changes in magic itself.

"Ashes To Ashes" - Ash is a vampire hunter who has a power ring. With it, he hunts for the vamp that killed his wife, looking for revenge.

"Green Hell!" - Barin is guarding the gates of hell, preventing the residents from escaping. He's hoping for relief from the Guardians, but that relief may never come.

"Triumph of The Will!" - Ayria rules his world with an iron fist. Selaya has been selected to wrest his power ring from him, and help the resistance earn its freedom.

"The Starheart!" - Torquemada and Alan Scott find the Starheart, and discover it has undergone a metamorphosis. They join forces to combat it, but even when the battle's done, they're not sure if they've won or lost.

Plot: "The Book of Equals" - Arisia arrives at JLI headquarters, looking for Hal Jordan.

"What Price Honor?" - Laira begins her first mission as Green Lantern, but is not fully prepared to deal with the villain that awaits her.

"Meant for Each Other" - Alan gets some of the answers he's been looking for in his search to explain his newfound youth.

"Those Who Sit And Wait" - Sheriff Mardin is also a Green Lantern, but on her world, there's very little for a Green Lantern to do.

"Say It with Powers" - Boodikka returns home to celebrate a rather special day.

Plot: "The Book of Rebirth" - The kids John Stewart provided rings for awaken the metamorphosizing K'ryssma, who is quite disturbed to learn what has happened in her slumber, and heads for the Book of Oa for answers.

"Adam This Time" - Adam is a member of a race which only has one member. He is also a Green Lantern, and has to balance his duties in that regard with his duties to his species.

"Dreaming" - Alan Scott awakens from a dream, to find himself young, in a new costume, and attacked by newly invigorated foes of the past. He needs to figure out what's going on, but that mystery won't be solved this issue.

"Whatever Happened To Itty?" - Itty is off on his own, believing himself to be the last of his kind. He encounters a mate who is under attack, and he decides to bring her to the one whom he knows can and will protect her.

"Every Dog Has His Day" - G'Nort and Sax Girl return to her home town, only to find that humans and dogs have switched roles, and it's up to them to set things right.

Plot: "The Book of Order" - Hal Jordan continues his recruitment drive, and begins to tell one of the newest Lanterns tales of the Corps.

"Precious" - A member of the Yellow Circle has entered Torquemada's home, and intends to steal his battery and power ring. He even kidnaps Torque's apprentice to expidite the theft.

"Grudge Match" - Alan Scott is going head to head with Solomon Grundy. He can't face him alone, particularly given how much wood Grundy's body contains, but Jade is on hand to help.

"Revenge of The G'nerd" - G'Nort heads to his 70 (dog) year Obedience School reunion, and runs into some old buddies and some old bullies. With the help of Sax Girl, he manages to protect everyone when an old classmate goes out of control.

"The Best Choice" - Years before Hal Jordan was given his ring, another human was given the opportunity to join the Corps.

Plot: "The Book of Stories" - Kilowog regales the new trainees with stories around a campfire.

"Depth Charges" - An aquatic race is searched for a Green Lantern to protect them on their homeworld. The first choice turns down the ring, and the second abuses the power by opressing a neighbor race.

"Old Friends" - Alan and Molly mourn the loss of a friend before heading out to Myrg to visit Doiby. Doiby has a very tempting offer for them when they arrive.

"G'nortin' But Trouble" - G'Nort finds himself in Littleville, where crime is supposed to take a holiday. He quickly encounters a group of bank robbers and is forced to take action, though the local police aren't particularly supportive.

"Whatever Happened To Charley Vicker?" - Charley Vicker was a Green Lantern without a people. He found himself helping out a race that was overwhelmed by invaders when the power battery was destroyed, and soon found a new destiny among that people.

Plot: "The Book of Answers" - Hal and John are both looking for inspiration and answers to their recent problems, including the fates of Ch'p and Rose. They come to the book of Oa in this framing story, hoping to find those answers.

"Where There's a Will" - Alan Scott has been shown on broadcast footage, and Hector Hammond deduces that Doiby is a friend of his. It's not long before Doiby is reported dead, drawing Alan Scott into Hammond's trap.

"Two-Minute Warning" - Breeon is trying to save a sentient plant race from the species that is harvesting it. Unfortunately, the harvester is yellow, and Breeon has only two minutes worth of power left to act.

"The Lonely Man" - Waverly is a very lonely man, having lost those people closest to him. It's not until he sees a chance to be reunited with them that he draws the inspiration to continue living.

"The Trouble with Yellow" - Reemuz tells his friend about the yellow impurity of the power rings, and the impact it has had in tempering the Corps.

"I'd Rather G'nort" - G'Nort responds to a call for Hal Jordan, and finds himself face to face with the Black Hole in the Wall gang of interstellar thieves. He soon finds a way to to convince them he's the real deal.

Plot: "The Book of Everything" - Hal leads the new recruits to the Book of Oa, which contains the stories of every Green Lantern, past, present and future. This acts as a framing story for the other tales in the issue.

"Layin' Down The Law" - Hellhole is a lawless world, and every Green Lantern to venture there has been killed. Jack T. Chance is the latest recruit, but he's a local, and has a much more effective style, whether the guardians like it or not.

"And I Shall Shed My Light..." - Alan Scott is fighting the good fight. After a quick recap of his origins and history, he deals with a group of Neo-Nazis.

"Neither a Lender G'nort a Borrower Be!" - G'Nort returns to Earth, only to misunderstand an overheard conversation on the T.V. He finds himself out in the alley, meeting a saxaphone player and getting attacked by a trio in yellow powersuits looking to join the JLA.

"Whatever Happened To Arisia?" - This story reveals what happened to Arisia back on Earth before she was found once again by Hal.

Untitled - Shilandra Thane has been recruited to protect her sector as a Green Lantern, and she decides to start by ending the wars on her home world.
