Plot: Everything is proceeding according to Batman's plans. Following his orders, the GCPD have pushed all of the gang members and soldiers they could find into Robinson Park, where he plans to see them all united under Orpheus' leadership. But what Bruce doesn't know is that Orpheus is dead, murdered and replaced by the Black Mask... who sees a wonderful opportunity to kill all of the competition, allowing him to seize power in Gotham.

Batman attempts to fight his way to the stage in order to find out just who has replaced Orpheus, but he finds himself fighting half of the criminals in Gotham alone. The other half have spilled out of the arenas, and are rushing the police barricades. Without Batman's leadership, the situation threatens to quickly overwhelm them.

Plot: The shooting at Louis E. Grieve High School has escalated the gang violence that has overwhelmed Gotham City overnight. The death of Tim's classmate Darla Aquista, the daughter of the man now in control of Gotham's mafia families, has escalated the violence as Henry Aquista orders his men to go to any lengths to destroy the other mobs fighting for control of Gotham.

Batman approaches Commissioner Akins with a proposal that he says could end the gang war quickly... if he's willing to hand over command of his men to Batman for eight hours. Especially doubtful of Batman after the image of him carrying Darla Aquista's body out of the High School earlier, Akins refuses, leaving Batman with few options.

Seeing the chaos in the city, Tim regretfully goes back on his word to his father. Traveling to Wayne Manor, he suits up as Robin joins the struggle to restore order to Gotham.
