Plot: In the events surrounding the resurrection of Ra's al Ghul, Talia provided Bruce with a suit of armor bearing the device of a bat. In a response to Bruce's questions about the armor's origins, Talia tells him of it's reputed mystical nature, but also with a warning that the armor is said to have a dangerous nature to it.

Concerned that the armor, called the Suit of Sorrows may actually be influencing him, making him faster and stronger, but more violent and uncontrollable, Bruce travels to France in search of the suit's origin.

Plot: After a typical night in Gotham City, Batman returns to the cave to find that his attention as Bruce Wayne is needed upstairs. The police are have come investigating Bruce's tie to a recently-murdered Gotham socialite. And they aren't alone... the Riddler has been hired by the victim's father as a private investigator. The Riddler has recently been in a coma, and has forgotten that Bruce Wayne and Batman are the same person, and claims that his criminal tendencies have also been purged. With the media attention the Riddler is drawing to the case, as well as Bruce Wayne's connection to the victim, Batman makes this case his top priority.
