Plot: Unknown to almost everyone in the DC Universe, there now exists a multiverse consisting of 52 separate universes, each different, as a result of Mr. Mind's cosmic rampage. But all is not right within the Multiverse. Some people, like Duela Dent, exist on the wrong Earth. The Monitors exist to police such inconsistencies in the Multiverse, but one of them has gone too far. Upon seeing that Duela Dent was on the wrong Earth, one Monitor executed her for the inconsistency she represented. But even the lowliest person is an influence on the lives of others. Who can know what the end result of his rash action shall be?

Alternative Plot: On Apokolips, Darkseid plans his attack against the Earth.Joker's Daughter attempts to kidnap a pop star but is foiled by the Red Hood where she reveals that she knows she's from a "neighbouring Earth".Mary Batson is released from hospital and has found that saying the wizard's name Shazam does not turn her into Mary marvel any more.Heat Wave and Trickster plan a get together of Flash's rogues while Pied Piper spies on them.Trying to get away from Red Hood, Joker's Daughter is killed by a Monitor who then attempts to kill Red Hood before being stopped by another Monitor. The second Monitor travels to the Source Wall and asks what is the solution to the forthcoming disaster, only to be told it is Ray Palmer, the Atom.

Plot: Jimmy Olsen is investigating the mysterious death of Duela Dent, the Joker's daughter. With Superman's help he tracks down Jason Todd to hear from the one living witness how it happened. But when even that testimony isn't enough to force the story to make sense, Jason directs him to someone with answers beyond all reason... The Joker.Much of what the Joker has to say is beyond Jimmy's ability to grasp... especially when he says that he never had a daughter.
Alternative Plot: Investigating the death of the Joker's Daughter, Jimmy Olsen meets with the Red Hood and is advised to seek out the Joker himself. While meeting with him, Olsen displays a large amount of knowledge of the secret identities of many heroes.Mary Marvel meets with Madame Xanadu in the hope of finding out where Freddy Freeman, now Captain Marvel, is. Instead, she receives a warning to stay away from Gotham City.The fight between Batman and Karate Kid shown in Justice League Of America Vol 2 #8 is expanded upon in detail.As the Rogues gather, Mirror Master claims he doesn't believe the Trickster and Pied Piper have returned to their villainous ways and sets up a test for them to prove it.Olsen meets with the Joker in Arkham who claims there is a universal conspiracy at play and that he doesn't care about the death of Joker's Daughter as, despite her name, she wasn't his daughter. As he leaves, Olsen is attacked by Killer Croc.

Plot: As Jimmy Olsen leaves his interview at Arkahm Asylum, he doesn't feel he's any closer to understanding the death of Duela Dent than he was before speaking to the Joker. But he's so intent on his phone call to Lois that he's missing something important right behind him. The Trickster and the Pied Piper are working together to earn their way back into the Rogues. But when the Trickster gets some leverage on the Pied Piper, how will he use it? Despite the warnings given to her by Madame Xanadu, Mary Batson has gone directly to Gotham, the one place she was specifically warned away from. Now, pursued by ordinary street criminals, she attempts to take refuge in a building that has been abandoned for some time... the old embassy of Khandaq. Will she find her salvation, or destruction within?
Alternative Plot: Attacked by Killer Croc, Jimmy Olsen surprises himself and Croc by stretching like elastic. The guards of Arkham recapture Croc.The Monitors debate how they should act, whether they merely watch or, as has happened, they should seek out anomalies like Joker's Daughter and kill them.Red Arrow interrogates the captive Karate Kid.Trickster and Pied Piper attempt to prove to Mirror Master that they have returned to their villainous ways, apparently by killing a businessman after convincing him to give all his money to Mirror Master. However, while Piper has allowed the businessman to live, Trickster is wise to his game.Though warned by Madame Xanadu not to go to Gotham, Mary Marvel ends up there and is chased by thugs in to the abandoned Khandaq embassy where she finds Black Adam hiding.

Plot: Against the advice of Madame Xanadu, Mary Marvel has traveled to Gotham City, where she has found herself drawn to the building that used to house the Khandaq embassy. Here, she discovers Black Adam, and the remains of any who have crossed his path in his time here. But Mary feels that she may be here for a reason, and that her exile from the Marvel Family may tie her to Teth-Adam. While covering an apparent attack in the skies over Metropolis, Jimmy Olsen once again exhibits super-powers, this time in an intense burst of speed. But when the New God Lightray falls to Earth, apparently dying not even Superman can determine who is responsible. And at the funeral of Duela Dent, the Joker's Daughter, Donna shares a moment with Jason Todd... both of them familiar with the notion that they're living on borrowed time.
Alternative Plot: Mary Marvel talks with Black Adam in the Khandaq embassy in Gotham, hoping he can help her regain her powers.In Metropolis, Jimmy Olsen is on hand as meteors fall from the sky.The Titans attend the funeral (shown in Teen Titans #47) of Joker's Daughter, Duella Dent, who was killed by a Monitor in Countdown #51. Also at the funeral is the Red Hood, Jason Todd, who speaks with Donna Troy about what the Monitor said concerning Todd's existence and how he should be dead.In the Justice League's satellite, Starman talks with Karate Kid concerning how he arrived in the 21st Century.As the meteors fall in Metropolis, Olsen displays super speed powers and manages to save some civilians. As he's about to leave, however, another meteor - which quickly reveals itself to be the New God Lightray - crashes into the ground in front of him. Superman arrives and tries to help Lightray before flying off to find what wounded him. As Olsen attempts to comfort Lightray, he explodes with light. Superman finds the remains of a Boom Tube fading high above the city before returning to Olsen only to be told by him that Lightray has died.

Alternative Plot: Jimmy Olsen wakes from a dream where he was imprisoned on the Source Wall.Holly Robinson arrives in Metropolis looking for a fresh start.The Monitors debate whether it is better to oversee the multiverse or take direct action; most of them prefer the direct approach and plan to kill, among other, Donna Troy, Jason Todd and Kyle Rayner.At a party organised by the Rogues, Pied Piper and Trickster reveal to each other why they appear to have re-joined the group, forgoing their reformed ways.Black Adam bequeaths not only the Marvel Family's powers to Mary Marvel, but also those of his own gods, changing her into a sort of Black Mary.

Plot: Newly repowered with not only the might of Black Adam, but also with all the gifts of Isis, Mary Marvel senses magic warping around a shard of the Rock of Eternity. With her new power singing in her ears, she dives into battle with a newly summoned demon looking to banish it... or failing that, to kill it. Jimmy Olsen meets with a former servant of Darkseid, stuck on Earth, who may have new insight into the strange dreams he's been having, as well as the death of Lightray. And the Monitors dispatch the Forerunner to deal with Donna Troy and Jason Todd, who they believe threaten the very existence of the Multiverse.
Alternative Plot: Mary Marvel, imbued with the powers of Black Adam, confronts a demon made from unborn children. Tension between Mirror Master and Pied Piper boils over and the pair fight until Captain Cold freezes them both. Jimmy Olsen meets up with Sleez, a former assistant to Darkseid, who begins to tell Olsen how to destroy Darkseid before he is killed by a bolt from the sky. In Washington, Donna Troy again meets up with Red Hood who has researched the killer of Joker's Daughter and tells Donna that it was a Monitor. The Monitors themselves watch the exchange and send Forerunner to Earth where she knocks out Donna and beats Red Hood.

Plot: The Monitors have agreed to strike out at Jason Todd and Donna Troy, two of the more dangerous anomolies on Earth-1. To that end, the Forerunner is dispatched to eliminate them. But not all of the Monitors agree with this decsision. Jimmy Olsen continues to investigate the strange occurances that have surrounded him in recent months.
Alternative Plot: Donna Troy rallies and attacks Forerunner, preventing her from killing Red Hood.Jimmy Olsen returns to the slum where Sleez was killed and begins to wonder if the New Gods are connected to his dream of the Source Wall and his powers.Holly Robinson is approached by a shadowed figure and offered help.A Monitor appears and prevents Forerunner from continuing her attack. On their satellite, the other Monitors question the wisdom of employing Forerunner.On the Justice League satellite, Dream Girl, Karate Kid and Star Man ask to leave but are persuaded to wait.The Monitor leaves Forerunner, taking Donna and Red Hood with him. Abandonded, she decides to remain on Earth. Unknow to her she is being watched by someone who appears to be Captain Atom wearing the Monarch style armour he wore at the end of Battle For Bludhaven.

Plot: In the wake of her battle with Pharyngula, Billy summons Mary Marvel to the Rock of Eternity. Unaware that she had even lost her powers, much less of how she regained them, he confronts her about the brutal nature of her attack on the demon. The rejected Forerunner is approached by Monarch, who believes she has a special place in his plans. The Pied Piper and Trickster deal with the fallout of the death of the Flash. Certain that the Justice League would show no mercy to any rogues, even if they did not actively participate in the Flash's death, the pair resolve to go deep underground, having only each other to rely upon.
Alternative Plot: Mary Marvel is summonded to the Rock of Eternity to speak with Captain Marvel.Forerunner is approached by Monarch who persuades her to join him in a fight against the Monitors.Jimmy Olsen attempts to kickstart his powers by forcing a fight with a gang but it is only when he appears to be in danger that his powers protect him.Holly Robinson is taken in by Athena.Pied Piper and Trickster plan to disappear following their part in the death of the Flash IV.At the Rock, Mary tells Marvel that her powers now come from Black Adam.

Plot: Conflict continues as the DC Universe gathers to mourn the passing of The Flash, Bart Allen. As the Teen Titans eulogize their partner, many different groups look on. Among them, Donna Troy, Jason Todd, and the Monitor of New Earth pay their respects against the Monitor's better judgement. The funeral is also attended by The Pied Piper, and The Trickster. These two Rogues attend at great personal risk, despite the fact that neither assisted the other Rogues in delivering the killing blows. But as they hurry to exit the ceremony, they find that someone else has taken a keen interest in them.
Alternative Plot: The funeral of Flash IV takes place after he was killed by the Rogues Gallery.At the funeral are Jason Todd, Donna Troy and a Monitor who is insistent that they begin searching for Ray Palmer, the Atom.Attempting to pay respects, Pied Piper and Trickster - who were involved in the Flash's killing - leave after hearing Wonder Girl swear to bring the culprits to justice. As they leave, however, they are attacked by Multiplex and Deadshot who capture them.Monarch shows Forerunner the army he has amassed to attack the Monitors and wants her to train them.

Plot: Responding to an alarm in Gotham, Mary Marvel finds the notorious Riddler on the scene. Assuming that he's the culprit, she swoops him up, but before she can harm him, he points out that he's a licensed investigator now, and was investigating the burglary just as she was. The two join forces to hunt down the real culprit... Clayface. Donna, Jason and the Monitor meet with the new Atom, and enlist his aid in traveling to the sub-atomic Palmerverse, where they hope that they can find Ray Palmer in time to avert the coming disaster. Trickster and the Pied Piper have been captured, and told that they are being brought to justice for the murder of the Flash. Always one to have one last trick up his sleeve, the Trickster enacts an escape, dragging Piper along by their shared manacles. But sometimes the escape is worse than being captured.
Alternative Plot: Trickster dreams of the Rogues killing the Flash before waking to find himself chained to Pied Piper and held captive by Deadshot and Multiplex.In Gotham, Mary Marvel finds the Riddler, who has apparently gone straight, trying to track down the culprit behind a bank robbery.In Metropolis, Harleen Quinzel tries to convince Holly Robinson that she has turned over a new leaf.In Ivy Town, the Monitor, Donna Troy and the Red Hood gain the Atom's assistance in shrinking to search for Ray Palmer.The Riddler and Mary find the culprit, Clayface, and Mary surprises herself by inadvertently shooting Clayface into space. The conflict is watched over by Batman who is confronted by Karate Kid.Jimmy Olsen considers becoming a hero with his new found, if erratic, powers.Trickster and Piper escape from their prison only to find they were high above the earth in a plane.

Jason Todd, Donna Troy and Bob the Monitor reach the sub-atomic universe discovered by Ray Palmer, with the aid of the new Atom. But will Ryan Choi be able to help them deal with the locals?

Plot: As life continues in the far corners of the DC Universe, Jason Todd, Donna Troy and Ryan Choi have joined Bob the Monitor in his search for Ray Palmer. With Ryan's assistance, they've entered the sub-atomic Palmerverse, a savage, warlike land, seeking news of Ray Palmer. The natives that they met eventually reveal that they have seen him, but that he they had sent him elsewhere to find magics to help ease his spirit.The Pied Piper and Trickster, fresh from having escaped Deadshot's gang, have literally washed up in Gotham. Desperate, they try to deal with the Penguin for a night of asylum. But their prsence doesn't remain secret for long.

Plot: Karate Kid and Una, refugees from the 31st century seek an audience with Oracle at the suggestion of Starman, but Barbara Gordon's time is a precious commodity. Especially when she's attempting to prevent someone from stealing the secret identities of every superhero on Earth. The Penguin's reception of the Trickster and Pied Piper was initially cold... but it didn't take the old bird long to realize that there was money to be made in those two. Once more on the run from the Suicide Squad, they seek a new place to go to ground.

Plot: Several heroes, in groups or as individuals, struggle to contain the chaos that is the result of Oracle being attacked by the Calculator.At sea, the cruise ship with Zatanna and Mary Marvel aboard is attacked by Slig of the Deep Six who claims that his comrades have all been killed.In Gotham, Batwoman and the Question confront Trickster and Pied Piper over the death of Flash. Somehow, the Question believes their innocence and lets them go just as Oracle defeats the Calculator's attacks.Aboard the cruise ship, a mysterious being appears and kills Slig.Jimmy Olsen - as Mr Action - tries out for the Teen Titans bu tfails to get in.On the cruise ship, Mary Marvel heals the passengers who had been hurt by Slig, unaware that she is being watched by Eclipso.Karate Kid admits to Oracle that he is dying.On Apokolips, Darkseid muses over how many New Gods are dying but is convinced he will survive.

They tell them that Ray Palmer has passed through but has long since gone.In Gotham, Pied Piper and the Trickster are captured by Poison Ivy.Harleen Quinzel speaks with Holly Robinson and is convinced that Holly will soon be joining her in an unspecified team.In Metropolis, Jimmy Olsen wonders whether being a superhero is what he's supposed to do before suddenly realising - and confronting his friend about it - that Clark Kent is Superman.

Plot: In the Nanoverse, Donna Troy and her compatriots are attacked by insectoid creatures using magic.Having captured Trickster and Pied Piper, Poison Ivy is partially fooled by them into believing that a mutual friend had sent them to her.At Zatanna's home, Mary Marvel becomes impatient with the slow pace of learning and provokes a fight between herself and Zatanna.Having revealed he knows Superman's secret Identity, Jimmy Olsen - as Mr Action - tries out for membership in the Justice League.Searching for a cure to his disease, Karate Kid, accompanied by Una, finds the hideaway of Mr Orr and his bodyguard Equus who attacks them. Surprised by Karate Kid's skill, Equus holds Una hostage.Unknown to Mary Marvel, her rage is partly being fuelled by a watchful Eclipso.As the Atom attempts to escape from the insectoids, a mysterious arrival steps in. As Ivy and her captives argue, the mutual friend arrives and is revealed to be Deathstroke.

Plot: Donna Troy and her friends have been captured by Queen Belthera of the nanoverse who turns the Atom into an insect.Mary Marvel fights with Zatanna - unknowingly goaded by Eclipso - until Zatanna throws her out of her home.Jimmy Olsen recovers from his tryout with the Justice League and realises that his superpowers are beyond his control.At the Athenian shelter, Holly Robinson is forced to take part in a purification rite that is little more than a gladiatorial competition between her and her fellow homeless women. She manages to defeat all of them until she faces off against a masked opponent.Karate Kid and Una defeat Equus, prompting the arrival of Mr Orr who claims to have the answers Karate Kid needs.Donna Troy manages to escape Belthera's bonds but is then struck down by Bob the Monitor who has fallen under the Queen's spell.

Plot: Pied Piper and Trickster, left to hang by Deathstroke, are captured by the Flash looking for answers following the death of Bart Allen.Jimmy Olsen, also looking for answers, contacts Steel who plugs him into a computer that will visualise his thoughts.In the Nanoverse, Donna Troy and Jason Todd escape the prison Queen Belthera holds them in but as the Queen attempts to escape via a dimensional portal she is struck by Donna and manages to pull the hero through with her.Forced to fight, Holly Robinson and Harleen Quinzel are chosen by Athena to journey to Paradise Island and become fully fledged Amazons.Mary Marvel finds herself in a mystical market place and meets Klarion who wonders if she will barter some of her magic with him.Una and Karate Kid are sent by Mr Orr to seek Buddy Blank; once they have left, Orr reports this to Desaad, lackey of Darkseid.In Steel's lab, Jimmy's thoughts are manifested as an illustration of the Source Wall which separates various versions of the 52 Earths.Trickster and Pied Piper reveal to Flash that Deathstroke and the others are planning on attacking Green Arrow's wedding.

Plot: As Trickster and Pied Piper try to tell Flash of Deathstroke's plans to crash Green Arrow's wedding, the explosive chips Deathstroke planted in their necks begin to activate, forcing Flash to vibrate his fingers into their necks and remove them. Convinced that they had nothing to do with Bart Allen's death, Flash contacts Zatanna who transports all three to a safe house.In the Nanoverse, Green Lantern arrives in time to rescue Donna Troy and informs the travellers that, according to the Guardians of the Universe, Ray Palmer is no longer in the Nanoverse but in the Multiverse.Mary Marvel is attacked by a magician but protected by Klarion who, in return, wants a small portion of her power.Jimmy Olsen is hounded by people who turn out to be agenst of Cadmus who ask him to come along with them to investigate his powers.Locked up in Zatanna's safe house, Trickster and Pied Piper argue about whether to escape, a matter that is decided when Trickster attempts to break out and is confronted by a scimitar wielding mummy.In the Nanoverse, Atom is plucked from the group of travellers by a giant hand and while Green Lantern wishes to follow, the others convince him that they still need to find Ray Palmer.

Plot: As Mary Marvel agrees to give Klarion a small piece of her power, he attempts to take more, forcing her to fight him before leaving, following a mysterious voice. Trickster and Pied Piper attempt to escape the room guarded by Zatanna's tame Egyptian mummy with Piper managing to send him to sleep using the tones on a touchpad telephone. Jimmy Olsen is taken to Cadmus where he meets the head of genetics, Serling Roquette. At Black Canary's bachelorette party, Wonder Girl and Supergirl attempt to get hold of some alcohol but are stopped at every turn until the party is accidentally crashed by Piper and Trickster, chased by the now revived mummy. As the assembled heroines attack the mummy, Wonder Girl and Supergirl finally get some drinks only to find they hate the taste of them. As Zatanna makes her mummy vanish, Piper and Trickster escape. The Challengers from Beyond pass through Earth 30 before arriving on Earth 3 where they are confronted by the Crime Society.Mary Marvel arrives in Turkey, following the coive, to find that it belongs to Eclipso.
