sega.jpgNearly 40 classic Sega games cramped onto one disc for Xbox 360 and Playstation 3? What recently released game is causing a stir in Japan? Are there any Nintendo DSi’s left on the shelves in Japanese gaming stores? Read it all here.

Retro gaming is hot these days and because of that Sega announced they will release their Sega Megadrive Ultimate Collection in the not to distant future. Somewhere in the beginning of next year, Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 owners will have the possibility to play the likes of Sonic the Hedgehog 1, 2, and 3, Streets of Rage 1, 2, and 3, Alien Storm, Space Harrier, along with many other classic Master System games and Sega’s own ‘80 arcade hits. Wow!

All these classic games will be revised so they are able to run at 720p on your High Defenition television screen.

Space Harrier! Stunning visuals… erhm, for a twenty-two years old game that is…

Grand Theft Auto IV does the business in Japan. The version for the Xbox 360 has reached the fourth place in the gaming charts, while the Playstation 3 version remains firmly on top. Earlier this year Microsoft confirmed that downloadable content will be made available before Christmas and that it’s exclusive to Xbox 360 owners only. This will make GTA IV rise a few places in the course of time if you ask me. Playstation 3 owners shouldn’t worry about this exclusive deal too much though, I bet. History made quite clear that downloadable content will be made available for other platforms evidently. Ah well, lets keep our fingers crossed.

GTA IV. It’s lonely at the top.

Remember that article I wrote about the new Nintendo DSi a couple of weeks ago? Although the Nintendo DSi is more or less a revised version of the Nintendo DS - instead of a brand new handheld console - it’s still impressive to see that nearly all 200.000 units were sold out in just two days! It shows just how much Nintendo is loved in Japan. Unfortunately we have to wait until next summer to get our greedy little hands on Nintendo’s revised handheld.
