We live in a mad world. Tears for Fears once sang a song about it, Gary Jules covered it in a sublime version and I certainly went friggin’ mad when I heared from this upcoming game for the Wii!

From the looks of it MadWorld is a third-person action shooter in wich you control Jack, a competitor in a violent televion show. If you’ve ever seen that Arnold Swarzenegger vehicle called The Running Man you probably know what to expect. By the way, if you’ve never seen this classic movie than I suggest you either rent or buy it now. It’s great! Anyway, let’s back to MadWorld.

The game is being developed by PlatinumGames and is going to get published by Sega. It will feature extreme violence but in a comic kind of way. The most interesting thing about MadWorld are the stunning visuals as it looks like it’s inspired by Sin City. The only colours you get to see are black, white and red. A lot of red actually because a lot of blood will flow judging from this trailer.

At the moment there is a lot of controversy regarding this game because of the extreme violent content. Our fellow gamers from Germany for example will not be able to get their hands on a copy for it will not be released there unfortunately. MadWorld is sceduled for release somewhere in the beginning of next year.
