When I was young… well, let’s say, younger, my favorite movies were Back to the Future and Gremlins. I loved these movies. Doesn’t matter what episode. It was all great. I own this Back to the Future DVD box already a couple of years, but two days ago I finally got myself Gremlins (1984) & Gremlins 2: The New Batch (1990).

If you haven’t see the Gremlins movies: shame on you! Well, I guess everybody who’s visiting a movie website like this one has seen at least one of the Gremlin movies. So, everybody knows what’s up. Gizmo of course, is the cute furry main Gremlin. Don’t ask me how it’s possible, but if you put water on that cute Gizmo, a bunch of other new Gremlins jump straight out of his back! And if a Gremlin eats something after midnight everything’s going crazy. The cute creatures turn into evil ugly green bully’s.

After all these years I have to say these movies are still really great to watch. They’re funny, cute, and, well, just really enjoyable! At one moment the movie set reminded me of Back to the Future (one of my other all-time favorite movie series, like I said) and when I checked the Gremlins trivia on IMDb I found out the ‘downtown scenes’ were filmed in the same studios. Ha! So, now I got this Gremlins duo-pack, including both movies. For just 10 euro’s!

I’ve also got myself a DVD copy of Airplane (1980). That movie is so funny, it’s sick. Hilarious! I saw it when I was just a kid, and I already enjoyed it, but now it was even funnier. The conversations between doc Leslie Nielsen and the pilot, wow, shocking hilarious! One of the best comedys ever made I think. “Joey, do you like movies about gladiators?”
