Comic Collector 4.2 is out! In 4.1 we already introduced the New Releases Tab. Now, in 4.2, we improved the New Releases Tab and improved the Update Comics Automatically option, including a new much-requested Link Comics screen. Also: choose your Online Search Settings and Import Comic Text Files! Check it out.
We started working on 4.2, because everybody was asking for a Link (or Match) feature: to match your manually added issues to the online db issues and update with our covers and data. Well, that’s possible now! It works great: go check it out if you have ‘unlinked’ issues in your database. We also created a Collectorz ID (ClzID) field, so you can immediately see what issues in your db are already linked and what issues are unlinked. After linking everything you can select a bunch of issues, click on Update and there you go: covers, publisher data, creators, characters… it’s all downloaded.

But what if you don’t want to download our plots? Or our creators lists? Or maybe you don’t want all these Back Covers ads. Well, specially for you, we created the Online Search Settings Option. To avoid certain data. Just uncheck something you don’t want to download anymore and you will no longer ‘pollute’ your personal data with some certain data.

And we got this crazy cool Text Import. Tell all your comic friends who are still hating on Comic Collector they can now create a CSV or simple Txt file of their Notepad Comiclist and import this list into Comic Collector. Link and Update the issues and that’s it! All extra data and covers are already in your personal database.
Well, what more can I say? Check the screenshots, download 4.2 and discuss 4.2 on the forum! Have fun everybody! And thanks for the feedback everybody.
