The New #1

It’s official. The new Batman movie The Dark Knight is the new #1 in the IMDb Top 250. Ever since I started buying DVDs, watching classic older movies and checking IMDb, always the first chapter of the Godfather saga was #1 in the IMDb Top 250. In The Netherlands we can’t run to the cinema and check this already legendary flick, since we have to wait three more days…

The United States loves this movie, and I’m sure everybody overseas (over here!) will love it too. But will I love this movie, like I love my classic all-time favorites? I mean, can this Batman movie be better than the Godfather movies? Better than Pulp Fiction? The Good, The Bad & The Ugly? 2001? American Beauty? Requiem for a Dream? We’ll see. I don’t think so. But we’ll see… Fact is: most of the time I totally agree with the IMDb Top 250. But hey, my opinion doesn’t even matter anymore! The Dark Knight is already the movie of the year.

I cant wait for this one. They say The Dark Knight is the best superhero movie to date, but I still havent even seen Iron Man and The Incredible Hulk and those two seem great as well!!

Nooo! Don’t mention Iron Man. Still have to see this flick myself too…

Iron Man is VERY awesome. That was one of the best I’ve seen, and I’m pretty sure I’ve seen just about all the current super hero movies. I haven’t seen the new Hulk yet though, but others I’ve spoken to have said Iron Man is better. Dark Knight is possibly the only other one that could kick Iron Man out of my top running. I’ll be seeing Dark Knight soon enough!

Hmm it was a good movie, but certainly not number 1 on the top!
