Nowadays Sneakerz is THE thingy in The Netherlands. Sneakerz music is danceable and hot. Everybody who is really cool is totally into sneakerz: the sunny vibe, the DJs and, of course, the sneakers (shoes). Panama is the most trendy club in Amsterdam. These days Panama is just THE place to be. And I was at a trendy Sneakearz party @ trendy Panama.
So, the Sneakerz music (so called clubhouse) is dope. It’s just a bunch of beats. Not too hard, not soft, just cool DJ beats. The most famous and hottest DJs right now are Benny Rodrigues, Erik E, Gregor Salto and DJ Roog. And a few others, but since I’m really into hiphop I don’t know that much about these dudes. Like I said before, the music is not too hard and not too soft. It’s smooth: a mix of dance, house and lounge. Almost no lyrics and no singing girls, just feel-good beat music, that’s why it’s a so big over here right now. Everybody can listen to this. Even me, myself and I! You should check it out.
The party was located in the club everybody’s talking about these days: Panama. So, I was expecting a really great cool club (I never visited this club before). But it was just a really normal club, like Paradiso and the Melkweg (other clubs in Amsterdam). There’s nothing wrong with a normal club, since I’m a really normal guy and I like all normal-related stuff. But I just do NOT understand why I had too pay €3,50 for a glass of beer (normal price for a beer is €2,00). Besides that, I also had to pay €15,00 just to get inside the club. I understand they have to pay the DJs. But €3,50 for a beer, a simple drink? That’s just insane if you don’t get anything REALLY special. If this was a party located in some sort of palace I would actually understand why I was paying this. But now, two days later, I’m still confused. I just don’t get it! So, although I enjoyed the party, I think I’ll never go to Panama again. I just do not want to support insane prices for a drink. And since most Sneakerz party’s are @ the beach this summer maybe I’ll just go to one of these beachparty’s instead of Panama! But I think these Sneakerz beachparty’s are also really expensive….
