So here it is!! My first blog for the Music Collector Connect site. In my first weeks here at the office I Mainly worked on the movie database, but this week we launched a new Music admin, so from now on my main job is working on the Music database. As you all know we have our weekly top albums on the right of the connect site, but it doesn’t change that much because of the popularity of some of the albums. So from now on I wanna give you my Personal top 3 on weekly base, starting today.

1# Textures - Silhouettes

If there is one album that can’t leave my CD player this week… It’s the new album Silhouettes by dutch prog metallers Textures. I remember one of the guys came to my shop in 2001 asking of I could sell there self produced album “Polars” It blew me away, I think in the first week we sold over 50 copies. and this was only the beginning!! Now there 3rd album is out!!! and It’s even better than the first two. Still they play technical Metal An It still blows me away! Aaaaah!! Textures rules. If you’re into bands like Meshuggah, Soilwork or Dillinger Escape Plan Please check out this Dutch Guys!!! Believe me they’re even better!!!

2# Jah Cure – True Reflections

The Summer almost started here in Holland, the temperature is rising and That’s the reason the next album is on second place this week. The album was released in 2007 but some of the tunes are older all ready. But Jah Cure wonderful voice and his great choice of rhythms makes me longing for summer, a beer and a smoke (Yes, that’s legal here ) on the balcony, the Sun shining in my face, and some nice reggae tunes on the background. Let the summer begin!!!!

3# Death Angel – Killing season

After chilling on the balcony I really need some Metal!!, and Death angel’s Killing season is the right album for ending up the day. A little headbanging on one of the Bay-area’s finest thrash metal Bands. And then off to bed!!
