Movie Update April 18
Filtered movie update this week for next week. No more dance tips DVDs. This will be my last DVD update as Alain will take over from me, starting next Friday. Anyway, for this week just a few big titles, and some smaller titles. In total there were about 60 movies added, and compared to the almost 200 movies from last week, you know we have omitted some DVDs. Without further ado, blablabla:
This week Charlie Wilson’s War hits DVD in both a full and wide screen version. In Charlie Wilson’s War we see Tom Hanks as a congressman who tries to make the US government do more for the Afghan freedom fighters. Together with Oscar-winning actor Phillip Seymour Hoffman as CIA Agent Gust Avrakotos he forms unlikely alliances among the Pakistanis, Israelis, Egyptians, arms dealers, law makers and a belly dancer. I thought this was a fun movie, and I do think you should get it. I hear the book is pretty good too. Alain should know all about that book, so if you want you can always E-Mail Alain!

Charlie Wilson and Gust Avrakotos discussing “important” matters
Another big release is the awful movie Cloverfield. Read all about my thoughts on this movie right here. I’m not saying anything else, as I’ve said all that I wanted to say earlier this year.

The Cloverfield Monster
By the by, Cloverfield 2 is coming up in 2009. Yay. If you are also very very happy, you should E-Mail Mark! As he loved the first one as well! Quote: “This was one of the best action movies I have seen in years. Teh awesome!” - Words straight from a true reviewer! Just kidding
I also think I would like to see El Orfanato (The Orphanage) and One Missed Call. Some old movies are re-released under a Universal Cinema Classics-tag and eh, also some double DVDs with two movies on them are coming out this week. Yay..
