The RZA, ‘leader’ of the mighty Wu-Tang Clan who changed hiphop in ‘93, and Shavo Odadjian, the bassist for the metal band System of a Down, combined forces in 2005 and mentioned doing a album together. Now, in 2008, together they are called Achozen and the first studio album is said to be released in July.

Next to the The RZA, who’s called The Abbott for this project and Shavo, who’s called M.D. 36-22 for this project, Wu-Tang mc’s Kinetic and William Burk are also added to Achozen. The upcoming album will also feature funk legend George Clinton and mc Killah Priest. It seems this cd will be rugged guitar beats combined with Wu-Tang slang.

Shavo Odadjian was featured on the latest Wu-Tang Clan release 8 Diagrams and years ago System of a Down already did a metal remake of Wu-Tang’s hiphop classic ‘Shame On A Nigga’.

Word on the street is Achozen will also deliver tracks for a upcoming movie soundtrack.
