And still counting. 29.605 new submissions to our music database after sending out our monthly newsletter that is. In it, we requested to send in your data to our databases. Well, I can only say you’ve responded Big Time.

Normally on a standard day, I have 500 to 1.000 submits. Easy peasy, I just hit the batchprocess button and all submits are done automatically. Some of them need to be processed manually, if we already have a cover in our database and the submit also has a cover. I have to decide if I like the new one better: bigger image, better quality and I like them especially if the new submit has a back cover. This is not much work altogether, done in no time at all. But 29.605 submits! That is a completely different story. I’ve browsed the new submissions and they are from all sorts of genres: classical music (lots of Beethoven and Berlioz), the heavy duty rockers (Black Sabbath with beautiful covers!), evergreens, mainstream music but also new releases like the new Radiohead ‘In Rainbows’ and Ringo Starr’s ‘Liverpool 8′.

This will keep me busy for quite some time, so keep your eye out for the Daily Updates, here you can follow my progress through the submissions.
