Nintendo’s Official Seal of Quantity

Ahh yeah, the seal of quality. Who remembers that one? I do. And if you think it’s still on all the Nintendo products, you’re wrong. They’ve recently changed it to ‘Official Nintendo Seal’. I guess quality isn’t always something all games for Nintendo consoles provide. Maybe in the first half year of 2008? They’re promising quite an amount of games. Seal of Quantity? Definitely.

In the first half of 2008 Nintendo will expand the amount of titles for their systems with around 145 titles. 65 of which will be for the Wii, and 80 for the Nintendo DS. Yeah, the list has some quality titles. The recently postponed Super Smash Bros. Brawl (sigh), but also Wii Fit and Super Mario Kart for the Wii should be released within six months. Interesting, and high quality (although.. Wii Fit?). Oh and before we continue, some screenshots:

Q2: Wii Fit from Nintendo

I’ve highlighted some interesting games in there. See Star Wars there? I personally can’t wait to light saber my way through that game, hehe :d. Not much is known yet about this game, but Nintendo says the Lucasarts game will be on shelfs in the USA within the first 2 quarters of 2008. Usually when you don’t have many screens or information about a game, it means the game won’t be out soon. But who knows…

I’m also looking forward to the Lego Indy game. I loved the Star Wars Lego games, and I’m sure for Indy we can expect the same amount of fun. Did you know they’re also developing a Batman Lego game? Further more we have Worms coming to the Wii, but unfortunately it won’t include on-line play. So I’m not sure if I’m going to grab that. Okami will be making it’s way to the Wii as well (a great title on the Playstation), and I’m happy about that… I really want to play that game. No More Heroes looks interesting as well. Not sure yet, so I won’t go into that.

Q2: Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Darkness from Nintendo

I’m looking forward to seeing Altair on the DS, I love playing Assassin’s Creed on my 360 right now. I wonder how this will be on the DS. Maybe it will be a total flaw, maybe it will be totally awesome. So I’m looking forward, I think, to Assassin’s Creed Altair’s Chronicles. Also Advance Wars is a game I love on my DS, so the new Advance Wars: Days of Ruin (this month already) should be a good one.

But see what I mean? There is a load of crappy games in there. I guess there is some Quality, but it’s mostly Quantity. Let’s just call it the Official Nintendo Seal just to say the product is indeed licensed or manufactured by Nintendo. Quality not guaranteed, hehe.

(actually, I should get the quality seal for creating such a great post. But maybe also the quantity seal because there is so much information in here.. ah well, let’s just leave it at ‘just’ the seal)
