The Collectorz.com comic database
The Collectorz.com online comic database is the database used in the Add Comics Automatically feature in Comic Collector.
It has contains nearly 200 thousand comics, for over 24 thousand series.
For about 70% of these comics it delivers a cover image, for many issues it also includes an image of the back cover. Besides cover images we deliver:
- Series name
- Issue number
- Issue title (including Crossover, Story Arc data)
- Creators list (including writer, artist, inker, editor, etc.)
- Characters list
- Genres
- Comic age
- Publisher (including Imprint)
- Format
- Cover price
- Number of pages
- and a lot more...
The comic database is always up to date, because we add all the newest comics via the well-known weekly comic list. Although the main focus is popular Marvel and DC stuff, we also add every single comic book from Dark Horse, Image, Dynamite, IDW, Avatar and a lot more. Both new comics and old comics, from all comic ages. We also catalog European albums and Manga in the comic database.
You can help to build and enhance this database by submitting data that you entered to us, preferably including 'home-scanned' cover images. Just use Edit / Submit to Collectorz.com from the Comic Collector menu.
To maintain data quality, all submissions are manually checked and processed by our content managers.
