Adding Comics Automatically

Searching by Series

A convenient way to find comics in the Collectorz.com online comic database. Just enter your series title, hit Search and double click the correct entry from the Series Search Results panel.

Now you can simply check the checkboxes of the issues that you want to add. Click the Add button to let the program download the issue details and cover images and add them to your database.

A few helpful tricks to be aware of when selecting issues...

  • You can click the Select All checkbox at the bottom, to select all issues from a series, so that you can add em all in one go.
  • Watch the Issue number, Date, Edition and Cover columns, they will help you find the correct issues and editions.
(as you know, some comics come in multiple editions, with different covers)
  • Double-click a result to preview its data and cover in the Preview panel.

Adding New Releases

Of course, once you have all your comics cataloged, you won't stop buying new ones. And you will want to add them to your personal database too.

This is where the New Releases tab-page comes in handy. Just click Refresh to have it list this weeks new comics, conveniently grouped by Series.

It works the same way as the Search tab, double click a series, check the ones you just purchased (or are planning to purchase), then click Add.

No typing needed.

Tip 1: Use the selection at the top to see *all* new comics, or just new issues in series that you have already listed in your database.

Tip 2: Select the 'Only My Series' or 'Only My Publishers' radio bottom on top of the New Releases tab-page to exclude comic series or publishers you don't care about.

Daily Database Updates

On the Daily Updates tab-page you can check what comics were updated recently. We're working on the comic database every single day: updating covers, characters, creators, etc. Just click Refresh to see the latest updated data.

You'll only see your own series popping up in the updated comic lists. So, no annoying comic series you don't care about.

Bookmarking Your Favorite Series

To make things really easy for you, you can also bookmark your favorite series on the Favorites tab-page.
  • You can add a Series to your Favorites by clicking the Add To Favorites button, from either the Search, New Releases or Daily Updates tab-page.
  • Click the Favorites tab to see your bookmarked Series.
  • And again, double click a series to see its Issue List. Check boxes and click Add.
