Differences between the Standard and Pro editions

In short: The Standard edition has all you need to catalog your book collection on your PC or Mac.
The Pro edition lets you share your collection online and offers extra batch adding & editing features and more customization options.

Sharing:	No online sharing features.	Includes a free life-time subscription to the Connect Sync & Share service, to upload your Book Collector database online and share it with friends and family.
Adding:	Add books by ISBN or Author & Title, one-by-one.	Save time by searching & adding multiple books in batch. Use the OPN-2001 laser scanner or the CLZ Barry app to scan multiple barcodes in one go, then add them all in batch.
Editing:	Edit your book entries, one-by-one.	Save time by editing multiple books in batch, to apply the same change to all of them in one go.
Searching:	Use the Quick Search box on the toolbar to search all text fields of your entire book database.	Use the Filter screen to create and save advanced search filters, using AND, OR and brackets.
Customizing:	Choose which columns to show for your book list. Sort your list on any field or multiple fields. Group your books into Author, Publisher or Genre folders.	Create, save and re-use multiple column field sets. Create, save and re-use multiple sort field sets. Group books into any folder type, even multi-level folders, plus create, save and re-use folder field sets.
Fields:	Use the predefined book fields to store your information.	Extra User Defined fields, which can be renamed to store any info you like. Also, rename all predefined fields.
Printing:	Print simple book lists, with any columns or sort order.	Print one-book-per-page reports in various styles. Create your own print templates using XSL-programming.
Exporting:	No export features.	Export your book data to CSV format, to XML or HTML.

TIP: Unsure which one to choose? Then just opt for the Standard edition.
You can always upgrade to the Pro edition later, for just the difference in price.
