Ready? Okay, let's go.

  • First, you need a WiFi connection on your iPad. It has to be connected to the same local area network (LAN) that your Windows PC or Mac OS X computer is in. You also need Apple's Bonjour Print Services for Windows installed. Bonjour comes free with iTunes. If you don't have iTunes installed, you can also download it from Apple.
  • In the CLZ Books app, go to the Import page. This will make your app visible on the WiFi network.
  • Now start Book Collector on your Windows or Mac computer and click the Export to CLZ Books Mobile application button:

You can also click: File > Export to > CLZ Books Mobile Application

  • Book Collector will automatically detect your iPad. It may detect more devices. That's okay. Just click the name of your iPad to select it (1) to enable the Start Export button (2). This button is grayed out when no device is selected.
  • You can export your whole collection, or a just a selection of books (for example your Wish List, books in a certain genre like action, or from a certain year). When exporting only a selection, you must select the books you want to export in Book Collector on your compute before clicking the Export to CLZ Books Mobile application button.
  • For your first export, you check the Replace option under Collection on Mobile Device. Next time, after you have altered your collection on your computer, check the Update option, instead of Replace. The collection on your device will then be updated with only the new additions to and changes that you've made to your collection.
  • Click the Export button and sit back and relax while your collection is being exported to your iPhone or iTouch. Depending on how large your collection is, this may take a while. Time for a fresh cup of coffee. Or such.
