Web development
I do web development here at Collectorz.com; PHP, HTML, CSS, jQuery (that's
javascript) and some SQL. I live in the nice small town Zaandam with my girlfriend and little daughter.
I studied mathematics in Amsterdam, where I lived for the most of the time of my
life. I also did a lot of computer science on the side. I have seen lots of machines
and operating systems: C64, Mac OS (from 6.5 to X), MSDos 3/4/5, Minix, Linux,
Cyber, MVS, OS400 and that other one from Redmond ;-) and a lot of computer
languages: Java, C, C++, C#, VBscript (eek), javascript and even some Fortran
(remember?).
Photography
I like to take photographs, especially of people. My favorite photographer is the
dutch Anton Corbijn. I grew up with him (sort of) and all his pictures in the dutch
musicmagazine OOR. Not that I come any near him, but he gives me the inspiration to
go on... and on... and on. And maybe I like him so much because he took pictures of all my favorite musicians.

Music, Guitars and more Guitars
My biggest hobby is music (indeed): listening and playing.
I listen to al sort of music, from Slipknot to Tori Amos, from Nick Cave to Paul
Gilbert. I even have some jazz! And I play the guitar. Well, not really in a band, more on the couch :-)
I like all kinds of guitar music to play, but my biggest heroes are Stevie Ray
Vaughan, Eric Clapton, Paul Gilbert and of course there is Yngwie Malmsteen (J.
Malmsteen as a matter of fact).
