Hi, My name is Chris, I'm 24 and I was born and raised in Ireland. I'm the only non
Dutch employee here at the Collectorz.com office and I feel honoured to be a part
of the team! I moved to The Netherlands at the end of 2007 to a small town called
Hillegom, its a really nice area especially in the spring when the tulips come out!
I am studying Dutch this year in Amsterdam, so sadly I think I will have to leave
the tulips behind. In my spare time I like to read, go 'mountain biking'(quite
difficult in the Netherlands, although where there's a will there's a way!), play
xbox, watch TV shows, and then there is my major passion which I left behind in
ireland... I used to be (or technically still am) part of a DJ crew. We competed
against each other in international competitions and ran gigs in our local town. I
have a huge passion for all types of music and really enjoy finding new music to
listen to. I love going to concerts. One of my all time favourite gigs would have
to be Jeff Waynes War Of the Worlds. I am also the proud owner of this album on
vinyl. Which leads me to...
My Collection
Other than collecting football stickers and kinder egg toys as a child, I was not
much of a collector, that is until I bought my first set of turntables. This lead me
to develop a bit of a vinyl fetish, firstly it was just drum and bass, hip hop and
bizarre scratch records -with titles such as the 100mph backsliding turkey breaks )
- that I had to own, then it became any song I liked (ever). All my records are in
Ireland, but I cannot wait to start cataloging them when I finally get them here!
